i submitted an application through one of my friends who was working at the same hospital for the past 2 years and was willing to put in a good word for me and spoke to the head of the department regarding my willingness to work there. I communicated with them on email and submitted my documents and I was called for an interview with the program director

There was first a phone interview then an onsite interview. Onsite was a full day with multiple panel and individual behavioral interviews. Also a small case that was conducted as a group.
