      Account Manager - Sales Interview

      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Cisco in Apr 2007

      Interview

From my university, I was interviewed by three panels of 2-people each. Previous sales experience was nil and I was interviewing for a sales position, so typical sales-job questions were limited. I was asked on my perspectives of the sales process, given situations to analyse and made to do one or two mock sales pitches. Then, I was flowin to the location I wanted to be based out of, for more rounds of interview - 3 more rounds. I was interviewed from the top to the immediate manager - again, typical questions on my previous work and sales perspectives. The HR was super quick in rolling out the offer as I was on a deadline from another company.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

How would you position Cisco's strengths vis-a-vis competition?
      Answer question

      Question 2

Why do you think you will be a good sales person?
