I applied online. I interviewed at Children's Law Center (DC)
Interview
Had a preliminary chat with an HR person. I was then invited to a virtual interview with two people. There were a bunch of difficult hypotheticals and role playing scenarios. The interviewers seemed a bit judgmental, and it was clear from their facial expressions what answers they liked and didn't like. I left the interview was negative vibes, although I appreciate the work the organization does. I didn’t feel that this interview was respectful and am okay with not getting an offer.

Question 1
Who would you place the child with? [Insert scenarios where all potential caretakers are screwed up]. What implicit biases do you have?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Children's Law Center (DC) (Washington, DC) in Aug 2024
Interview
The interview process was two steps. The first was a series of questions related to previous experience, availability for the required days and hours, and some basic requirements for attorneys. The second step was a panel asking questions and giving hypotheticals more tailored to the attorney’s position. It was a longer interview, close to two-hours. The panelist said there was no right or wrong answers, but I still felt pressure to answer in the direction they were looking for.
