I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Chief (NY) (New York, NY) in Jan 2022
Interview
I applied online. The recruiter did an initial screening interview with me then I had another interview with one of the managers the following week. I believe the interview went well. I really did my research about the company to understand the structure of the role. I was not given an offer but was provided the contact info to a "VC firm focused on early-stage start-ups" in my rejection email because they knew I was actively looking for another job. The process took a month and I appreciate the quick decisions and clear communication.

What interests you about Chief? Do you know our structure of Core?

Interview
Starts with a 30 minute Zoom interview that's really only supposed to be 15 minutes. Recruiter tells me she makes it 30 minutes because "some people tend to talk too much". Then they make you do an hour long data exercise that was devoid of any actual instructions other than "answer the questions" (as in, no guidance on how to submit proof of work and how you got to your answers, formatting, etc). Then they rejected me, with no feedback at all even though I'm almost certain every question was answered appropriately.
