The recruiter reached out and had a 15-minute call. He explained that there would be 3 rounds. A Hiring Manager Call, A technical assessment, and the loop. The recruiter scheduled a call with HM after the initial conversation. HM had just become a manager less than a year ago, and couldn't stop bragging about how she is the hiring manager ( she felt the need to mention it 4 times). She clearly didn't know how to interview and was expecting me to magically write SQL queries without any tables. Ok, fine, I made up hypothetical columns and wrote the query and the conversation was going well, but then she asked a really stupid question about how I would do something on the back end of GA. I told her that I would do that in property settings and I am confident in my ability to look at documentation and do it. I mean COMEON?? You cannot expect someone to exactly know every setting of a tool. Anyways, a week after HM call, recruiter reached out and told me they wanted to move forward, and I said great and gave him my availability. I responded within an hour. The recruiter then ghosted me. I followed up 5 times in 2 weeks period, and then after 3 weeks, I reached out to another contact, and then immediately got rejected. I get that you found another candidate, but why would you tell me you are moving forward? Horrible experience! I will never interview for this company again.
