I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Chewy
Interview
Had a phone interview. The representative from HR was 20 minutes late, was rude, and clearly didn't know what she was talking about in terms of the role. She would ask me about a program or software I had used, and then ask me exactly the same question again two minutes later.
I was no longer interested in the role after speaking with her and declined a second interview.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Chewy
Interview
Applied online and 10 minutes later, received an automated rejection email. I am more than qualified, yet, a bot scanned my resume and rejected it. Way to be “human” chewy! Candidates deserve more than that. You just lost a customer.
Went well they were nice and professional but I didn’t move forward because the position was too entry level I just wanted to be at the company but it seems like a fun place to work
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Chewy
Interview
I have never had a more unprofessional experience with recruiters. Interviews scheduled and canceled five minutes before the call or after the call was scheduled FOUR TIMES IN A ROW. I was honestly amazed at the lack of maturity. Simply, “My day got busy” every time. Zero apology.
I should have just ghosted him right back. But I took the call, sucked it up and delivered a solid interview. Was told I’d be hearing from the hiring manage next and received an automated rejection email from a position I didn’t even apply to weeks later.
Chewy customer service might be noteworthy, but their recruiters need to be held accountable. This has soured my perception of the company as a whole.
