Chevy Chase Trust interview questions

I was repeatedly asked if CCT is too small for me. When I asked politely what is the growth potential for the role, the Interviewer got defensive and bluntly told me “I don’t need another manager”, “ the size of the team is small”, and this role is supposed to “wear a lot of hats”. This is very off putting and unprepared, seems like they just need a labor.
