      Research Analyst Interview

      May 2, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through university. I interviewed at Chatham Partners

      Interview

On campus round, then in office round. 25 minute conversations with people who are very relaxed and just want to make sure that you want to be at the company and are smart enough to do the job. The whole process took around 3 weeks, from the on campus stuff to the final rounds in waltham.

      Interview

Applied through campus recruiting, was contacted via email 1-2 weeks later, and had a phone interview the following week. The ~30 min interview involved walking through my resume, answering basic behavioral questions, seeing if I understood the roles of this position and what the company does, and a simple market sizing problem. The interviewer was very nice and seemed to enjoy working for the company.

      Research Analyst Interview

      Apr 23, 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Waltham, MA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Chatham Partners (Waltham, MA) in Mar 2018

      Interview

Initial 30 minute interview at the campus career center with a Senior Analyst. A few weeks later I was asked to visit the Waltham office for an in person interview. The in person interview was 3 rounds over about 2 hours. First with two Research Analysts, then a VP, and lastly an AVP. The interview was pretty easy. I was told they would be in touch with me in maybe 3 weeks (which is already a while to wait for a final decision). That was about two months ago and I have heard nothing - I assume that means I didn't get the job. A friend who also interviewed told me he called about a month later and said they still didn't have decisions a month after the fact because they weren't finished with interviews. This is not a big company, so they either need to get their act together or interview students from fewer colleges to speed up the process. If you are going to make someone drive down for an interview and not even comp for gas at have the courtesy to be honest about the time frame and tell people if they are no longer being considered. Based on my experience, you are better off skipping this interview and looking elsewhere.
