      Koch Associate Program Interview

      Feb 20, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Washington, DC
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Charles Koch Foundation (Washington, DC) in Jan 2016

      Interview

Initial online application with video portion, 30 minute phone call, 60 minute skype call with two interviewers. The online application was fairly simple, and included questions both about my qualifications and academic/work history as well as questions designed to understand ideological affiliation. The phone call and skype calls drew heavily from that initial application. The questions were not designed to trick you, although you do need to have a relatively solid understanding of US politics and public policy issues in order to be successful.

      Question 1

Q: If you had a magic wand, how would you amend the U.S. Constitution? Would you amend it?

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Charles Koch Foundation in Apr 2016

      Interview

It was long and the questions were challenging but they were all fair. The people are very nice too and are very thoughtful. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend applying.

      Koch Associate Program Interview

      Jun 7, 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Arlington, VA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Charles Koch Foundation (Arlington, VA) in Jan 2016

      Interview

The application is long - you must create videos explaining all your positions on policy. Then there is a phone interview with a recruiter, and then a skype interview with two people who manage the Koch Associate program who also happen to be going through the program as well. I got the impression they're looking more for personality matches than anything else.
