A phone screening was scheduled and confirmed via email by the recruiting/talent team for the following day. The day and time of the interview I did not receive a phone call, so 15 minutes past the scheduled time I followed up with an email asking if we were still on; no response. I then followed up a week later asking if the position was still available as I was very interested in the role and again, no response and at this point I gave up due to lack of responsiveness, communication, and respect of my time. Two weeks later I receive an email from the same person who scheduled the interview saying that the "hiring committee" decided not to advance as there was a mismatch in my background. This was completely unprofessional and is something that should've been determined prior to reaching out to any candidate. If the interview process is like this for other candidates I would not suggest investing your valued time to apply.
