      International Recruiter Interview Interview

      Jan 22, 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Dublin, Dublin
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Careertrotter (Dublin, Dublin) in Dec 2018

      Interview

I applied through Indeed. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Careertrotter (Dublin, Co. Dublin) in December 2018. That's a long process and apparently, you need to speak with everyone before to be in the last step. 1st step is a phone interview (screen interview) 2nd step is a google hangout interview with the account manager 3rd step is a face to face interview with the boss and shadowing, role plays with trick questions The process is hard and no efficient. The atmosphere isn't good and people should think 2x before applying for this company.

Thanks for taking the time to write this feedback. I take this very serious as we cannot grow without feedback both negative and positive. Having reviewed your feedback I wanted to give some responses to the various issues highlighted. Length of the process, yes it was too long. It shouldn't have happened as I see it took some time for us to contact you after the application. That said once contact was made things went faster and the only delay was you being out of the country for a bit. However, we could have prevented that by contacting you a lot quicker. We have reviewed this and are making some changes to how applications are being routed which should result in faster first contact. As for speaking with everybody that was not the case but you did speak with a few people in the office. As the saying goes "four eyes see more than two" in this case "8 see more than 2". Given we are growing and the first months in recruitment for someone new to the industry can be hard we want to make sure we hire correctly. Again this is under review and perhaps we can replace some of the human interaction with for instance online assessment. As for a roleplay with trick questions this is a statement that makes no sense given in the roleplay you were the interviewer so had full control over what you ask, how you ask it, how "curious" you might be as a possible recruiter. Given the lack of experience of people exposed to the roleplay, there isn't a right or wrong role play but more an indication of how people ask questions and how they listen to answer and possibly think on their feet when an answer is given. So I disagree with the statement. The statement on the atmosphere is just nonsense, given you do not work in the company it is hard for you to make a statement like that. However perhaps worth knowing that in a recent survey we participated in versus 100 other agencies in the UK and Ireland Careertrotter outscored most other agencies by having 100% satisfaction scores on the following statements "People support and care for each other" "It's a fun team to work in " "We are open and honest as a team" "It feels like a strong team" I'm sorry for the experience in terms of the length of the process and the steps you had to go through. However, I disagree with the trick question and atmosphere statement. For future interviewees, we are improving the process but is it taking a bit longer than you like to get the job please pick up the phone and ring us to get speaking with us. Thanks for the review and best of luck in your career. Herbert
