Very poor process.
First was a 30 minute screening phone call followed by 2.5 weeks of silence.
Next was a phone interview with 2 employees that worked in the lab, they emailed on a Sunday (a Sunday!?) to request a phone interview the next day. They didn't call until after 5.30pm and didn't ask any important questions so it was quite pointless.
Again radio silence for 2 weeks and then requested an in person interview 1.5 days later. How are you supposed to request time off from your current job at that short notice?
The interview itself was very informal, very obvious it is a start up as the interviewer seemed quite unprepared. They said the next step would be a trial shift (who does that?) .
Again radio silence for 3 weeks, I call and they say oh sorry! I know you applied for a chemistry lab technician role but now it's a supply chain role... Would you like to be considered for that?
What an absolute waste of time. Don't waste a candidates time and offer a completely different and unrelated role.
