They sit you down and before discussing the work and finding out what you know about the company and the job and if you're interested they shove paper in front of your face and expect you to sign off on a bunch of legal disclaimers and waivers. They expect you to not apply at companies which they don't have retainer for so since It's impossible to know which companies they are doing business with as its a secret you can be sued without realising it.
