      Collision Estimator Interview

      Mar 23, 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Richmond, VA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Caliber Collision (Richmond, VA) in Jan 2023

      Interview

Applied and got an email back pretty quick that I would receive a call from a recruiter. No option to pick a time, day, or anything. A day later, a recruiter called me in the middle of the work day and I couldn't talk for more than 5 minutes. He said since I didn't have any estimator experience, he would ask multiple locations in my area if they were looking to hire anyone with out experience. He said he would call me back. He never called back. The online portal was moved to no longer under consideration. Fast forward a few days, I get a call from a location. Great interview.. was over an hour. He showed me around. Showed me the entire online system they use. Everything. He offers me the job and tells me he will email me an offer in a few days. Days go by, I don't hear anything. I call and he says I was supposed to get a call from another location to interview with them..which is very odd considering he ALREADY offered me the job. They finally call me and I interview at the other location. Another great interview, manager told me he WILL reach back out to me. Never heard anything. I started calling the first location about once a week and kept getting the same run around...that SOMEONE will call me. And each time I called they kept giving me a different person's name. I'm over it. I've applied to other locations and they all immediately go to no longer under consideration. This whole experience has done nothing but put a bad taste in my month about this company. I don't know if it's because I am a women or because I am clearly gay. Just overall a bad experience.

      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Caliber Collision (Whittier, CA) in May 2025

      Interview

Phone call interview then in person/virtual interview. Interviewers were very friendly, especially the first phone call interview. Second interview was combination of behavioral & technical to me but heavily on behavioral.
