      Recruiter Interview

      Jan 13, 2022
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

      I interviewed at Calculated Hire

      Interview

Very focused on you as a person - more about your potential as opposed to your experience. It is a lengthy interview with multiple team members, but they make you feel super comfortable and explain their business and what you will be expected to do in the job.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Tell me about a time where you had to make a difficult decision and how did you go about it?

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Calculated Hire

      Interview

I had three phone interviews and then had my final interview in the office. The interviews were overall casual and allowed me to get to know the company well, but also have the company get to know me. I was able to get all of my questions answered and felt very supported by the company throughout the interview process. The entire process lasted about three weeks!

      Recruiter Interview

      Oct 3, 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Austin, TX
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Calculated Hire (Austin, TX)

      Interview

The representative who shall remain unnamed reached out to me for a position as a contract recruiter for a very large organization in Austin. You can tell this was her first recruiting job because she only asked questions off her paper and would ask the same thing over and over. I have 8 years of corporate recruiting experience in a full cycle and sourcing model environment. In addition to the corporate recruiter roles I’ve done, I have one title on my resume as a sourcing specialist. She told me that position would be a red flag to the hiring manager. My response was, “you realize that is the same thing as a recruiter only you don’t interact as much with key stakeholders, right?” She insisted it was too different. Then she wanted to set up a video interview the same day, which was fine, but when we connected she asked the exact same questions she asked me a few hours earlier on the phone. It was a total waste of time. Lastly, I don’t think she knew the difference between a bill rate and a pay rate for a contractor. She told me two different things, then said I was out of salary range. I withdrew my application. I would not want someone like this representing me now or ever down the road. Very inexperienced in my eyes.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

Run me through your resume (twice- on phone and on video interview)

      What are your salary requirements?
