I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at CNN (Atlanta, GA) in Mar 2019
Interview
I received invitations for video interveiws. They were more about you as a person and why you want the job. You get two tries to get it right. Then I was contacted for a phone interview. It was laid back and fairly simple.
it was a Hirevue, they asked typical interview questions like introduce yourself, what challenges have you faced, what's your news diet, etc. took only around 15 minutes to complete but I would do significant preparation.
Very thorough and detailed. There were three rounds of interview, and one of them was online. Then it came to in person interview. I struggled with the online because you have to record yourself and answer their questions with time limits.
I was instructed to undergo a virtual interview on Hireview. I have not heard back yet, but they asked basic questions like "tell us about yourself" and "why are you interested in this internship?"
