Interview
Very structured behavioral-based interview with three panel members, each responsible for 10 questions. Questions were either: 1) surrounding a challenge, action, result scenario; or 2) probed attitudinal, critical thinking and strategic management skills. One interviewer was an outside consultant and he seemed rushed, bored and disinterested in answers. All panelists took notes and kept a rating score sheet which was daunting, not only because it's marked while you're answering, but you know you're going to move on in the process only if you have the right combination of scores. It appeared as though there was going to be less consideration given to "fit" than to the candidate who gave spot-on responses to engineered questions and attained the highest score.
