Waited a tad bit too long for 20 ish minutes and then went on the interview to be asked various questions on why i would want to work here, etc

Interview is followed by a written test. Written test will test the very basics of mechanical engineering and basic calculus. They would basically ask you to say about the projects you have done and they would go into detail about one of them.
