I was contacted by a recruiter who coached me on the preparation of my resume and my performance during the interview. My interview followed in a few days. The recruiter provided inaccurate information, claiming that there would be a follow-up interview with the CEO of the company. My interview proceeded smoothly; I met with three employees. I was shown around most of the facility, met some other employees whom I would be working with, and got an impression of their needs. That evening, I sent thank-you emails to all three employees who had interviewed me.
Many employees were to begin their holidays after my interview, so I was not to expect to hear back until everyone returned. I was not contacted by anyone about the status of my candidacy. I emailed the recruiter two weeks after the interview, asking for an update; the company was still interviewing applicants. One month post interview, I emailed the HR person I had met in my interview, informing them of my interest in the position and inquiring about the status of my candidacy. The next day, I received a call from the recruiter informing me that the job had been filled. They did not know that I had not been informed of this.
Company seems like a good place to work; interview process had problems.
