      Digital Marketing Manager Interview

      May 14, 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at C-4 Analytics

      Interview

Had an initial one-way video interview in which 5 basic questions were asked, and I had to film a video response for each one. Already, this gave me a bad feeling about this company. If you don't care enough to give me a screening with an actual person, what are you doing? Following the screening I had a 15-minute phone call scheduled with a recruiter where she gave me an overview of the position. I had about 5-6 questions about the role, the company, etc. and she was talking so quickly it felt like she couldn't wait to get off the phone with me. Her answers to my questions about DEI felt very surface-level. I was moved on to the next interview stage, which I was told would be with the hiring manager and "key members" of the team. They told me that the length of the session depended on team availability, but told me to plan for up to 60-minutes. I sent a follow-up email asking for clarification on this interview process, not understanding exactly what was going on. I have never had an interview in which some people may or may not show up to it. I never received a response to my questions, and decided to rescind my application because the whole thing just gave me a bad feeling in my gut. They also asked me to provide my references' information before even meeting the hiring manager, which made me feel uneasy.

      Digital Marketing Manager Interview

      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at C-4 Analytics in Mar 2026

      Interview

I was reached out to by a recruiter on the basis of referral. The recruiter called me and entertained a call for about 30 minutes to then be asked for an additional call two days later. The next call was the same recruiter who then asked similar questions to the first interview and that call lasted about 45 minutes. I was invited to perform another interview that was said to last about 30 minutes. The interview was haphazard as I was interviewed by 3 separate persons who left the meeting for another to join the meeting over a span of an hour and a half, NOT 30 minutes. I understand that things happen, but it was unprofessional to ask me to participate for 30 minutes, but then to have the meeting run 3x that amount. I was then asked to debrief with the recruiter who challenged my level of interest and was invited to another interview. I was sent an assignment to craft a mock client presentation for a client of my choice—great. I crafted a full deck based on date I could compile in less than 24 hours. It took the full 30 minutes to deliver the deck to 3 interviewers. The interviewers were a mixed bag, but none were enthused, happy or appeared as if they wanted to enjoy my company. I was then told that the information presented could have provided more actionable items that could have a direct impact, however that request was not part of the assignment I was given less than 24 hours to deliver on a real business with a great presence in their market. I am glad to show my technical aptitude in real systems, with real data to offer real market insights and things that could be directly improved, however I was not given actual data to deliver any recommendations and had to go off the website, social media and reputation management.
