I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Buzzacott (London, England) in Jan 2025
Interview
Two interviews - initial interview was over Microsoft teams with the director, really nice, relaxed approach just talking about my overall experience, cv and the role itself.
Second interview was a 45 minute assessment then an interview with the director and partner at the London office. They discussed my cv & experience, they really want someone who is keen to progress in the role and develop at Buzzacott. The second interview was relaxed, everyone I met was very friendly, approachable and made me feel at ease. The office is beautiful and in a great location.
The only thing I would say is I’m not sure if I were actually given the 45 minutes time for the assessment - I was guided to the room by the internal recruiter and by her surprise it was used before me (no one booked the room before me I think) so that had to be cleared and then in between my assessment a caterer came in to clean up during. That said, I spent too much time on one question as I didn’t fully understand it and I think that is why I wasn’t offered the position because I didn’t review the answers that I had more experience with/knew more about when I should have provided more information. The recruiter said overall they liked me and I liked them too, but I just needed to provide more info about some of the benefits - I won’t go further in detail but just fully prepare for all of this. It’s a great opportunity if you really want to purse a career in benefits consultancy. Best of luck.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me overall experience, why I moved to this employer what attracted me to my previous roles and some technical questions re my experience with systems, administrative experience, pension and other benefits. The assessment was on the laptop in a room alone a mix of different scenarios, multiple choice, etc all relating to benefits.
I completed the online application by carefully filling out the form, responding to the questions, and uploading my CV as requested. On the following week, on Christmas Day, I received an automated email informing me that my application had been unsuccessful.
Thank you for providing feedback on your interview experience, but I wonder if you may have the wrong firm as we haven't recruited for a 'Financial Advisor' in the last few months.
We do ask everyone to fill in a questionnaire as part of the application which helps us determine the suitability on both sides, which is fairly standard practice and will always respond whether you have been successful or not.
We wish you all the best.

Interview
CV application followed by online assessments. The interview process was an hour long interview with two seniors followed by a partner interview.
In the interview with the two seniors, they asked about your experience and CV, what is the difference between tax avoidance and evasion and whether you think it is morally correct.
