I applied online. I interviewed at Busy Bee Cleaning Service (New York, NY) in Sep 2017
Interview
Applied through Indeed (Wednesday). I received a phone call the next day (left a voicemail) to arrange for an in person interview. I called back to schedule the in person interview for Friday. When I asked for the address, the receptionist told me that they would email me this information. I had to call and send two emails just for them to provide the address to the interview..and might I add, the email was very unprofessional.
I left the interview uncertain about how things went as it was very unprofessional. The interviewer rushed the process and constantly cut me off as I was responding to the questions she asked. Honestly, the questions asked were so easy and basic that I assumed they were just warm up questions but nothing difficult followed. She explained they were still interviewing and would get back to me in a couple days. Funny enough, they actually called me 30 minutes after the interview and scheduled a "Trial Day" for Tuesday.
Tuesday, the day of the trial was weird. I was pretty much working a full day 9-5 and helping them catch up on their backed up work. The work atmosphere was weird. No socializing, no personality, just straight work. I knew by mid day that this place was not for me.
I spoke with the hiring manager at the end of the day who matched my requested salary but honestly the company has no room for growth. I had to decline. The process was entirely too quick for me .. applied Wednesday and received an offer by the following Tuesday. That is totally a red flag for me.
If you are a recent college graduate with zero experience or knowledge of a good working environment, then this place is for you. But, if you have experience and have worked with amazing and qualified people, then don't even bother applying here. You will gain nothing from it.
Good luck on your job search
