I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Burlington Stores (Denton, TX) in Nov 2018
Interview
I am greeted by a supervisor who says, “all of management is on break right now and I’m the MOD so that’s why I’ll conduct your interview.” We get to the office and she sits down then timidly looks over a hiring packet, ask me how to spell my name and proceeds to read off literally only two questions. It seemed as though she’d never conducted an interview before because she was so nervous and also failed to write down my responses. After I answer the final question, she flips the other pages while saying “uhhhh well that concludes everything, I’ll let management know there was an interview today and that you stopped by; you should receive a call today.” I thanked her and left a resume. Interview was literally 6-7 minutes total because I got back in my car at 12:08!! I received no call from management but saw later that night my application status was flipped to “interviewed; not selected”. That’s an interview?! More like a mini meet & greet!! Poor interview process that was entirely mismanaged. I have several years of experience in retail working in the HR department so I know what should happen and what shouldn’t. I just wanted a seasonal position and wasn’t given a fair interview whatsoever.
