I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Bukwild
Interview
Before having a chance to speak with anyone on the team I was given a lengthy take home assignment. They sent a mockup that they wanted to be built in a JS framework. I spent 5+ hours on their assignment and never heard from them again. Terrible way to treat candidates.
I applied in-person. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Bukwild (Edmonton, AB) in Mar 2019
Interview
Asked questions about past positions and serving knowledge. Very busy atmosphere and asked if I could take the challenge. Not a job for people new to the industry. Asked what I knew about the company.
Given a take home assignment as part of the application process. There were some mocks and I could use whatever front end framework I desired.
I spent probably 6-8 hours on it and the guy probably looked it at for 5 minutes. This company cares more about CSS than the actual logic behind it. I never even got to talk to a person. Next time I do a take home assignment I talk with someone in the company first before doing so.
