The interview process was super fair. After submitting the application, the people that needed interns would reach out to you. Typically, you'd do a call or some form of meeting to talk to them and just see if you were a good fit. Sometimes there wouldn't be a call and all you would do is say you'd love to join their team and you'd receive the offer.

The one thing they asked me was my background and where my goals aligned. This was filled out during the application process, but they wanted to see if you had any passion for the work being done there and had interest in research.

After applying online to the SULI program, I received an email from one of the potential mentors in the department I noted I have a preference for. We then had a pretty casual 30 minute interview where he asked me about my interests and my research experience.
