HR quickly reached out for a phone screen a week after I had submitted the online application. From the get go in depth technical and behaviorial questions were asked along with the signitaure mental math question. Was quickly moved forward to speak with someone currently in this position, more technical and mental math questions, same overlapping type of questions from vp of finance--the hiring manager.
I thoroughly enjoyed the process with BE up until the interview with the VP as he seemed aloof and not interested at all--for a high level manager to not have the courtesy of making eye contact with a candidate shows red flag and disrespect. Immediately I knew this wouldn't be a good fit and it seems like they are either taking their time in finding the perfect candidates or they are just testing out to see what are the talents for this type of position because the title of this position has changed many times and their experience requirements are quite broad/vague.
I also find the mental math questions to be excessive for a technical role but it seems like this is heavily embedded in their culture.
Overall I think the process was okay but their overall company organization and behaviors of high level management brought many red flags to me in regards of the company culture and business model that was advertise.
Let's just say I was not surprised or upset that I didn't get the offer.
