A recruiter reached out after I applied through LinkedIn. We had a standard phone screening where they told me a bit about the company's background and discussed my experience at length.
Towards the end of the phone call, they asked for my undergraduate GPA, which caught me off guard given it wasn't even in the job description. I also thought it was a little odd since companies generally don't ask for or assess a candidate's competence through GPAs—especially when they're three years postgrad.
I haven't received a follow up since the introductory call, but I wouldn't accept regardless as the culture seemed a little too "frat-house" for my liking.
