      Associate Support Representative Interview

      Aug 6, 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Braze (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2022

      Interview

Got contacted by hiring manager fairly shortly after applying. Went fairly well, nice recruiter, it's about an average interview, quick description about the job and company. Then you talk about yourself, prior experience, maybe answer some generic questions from the manager. Lastly, asking the manager any questions you may have. What's a tad bit unfortunate is the nature of the role is it's a pretty technical , so any detailed description of the daily tasks, issues you would be dealing with, etc...was not answered with specifics, as that's outside the hiring manager's scope. It's pretty common, most recruiters aren't going to be experts on the technical details of a technical role. Such conversation would probably help your odds, showing more of your technical chops, knowledge, etc... more so than a few lines on a resume could, but you would have to make it into a second round for such talks to happen. It's a common thing with most jobs, but the people you will be working with/working for aren't there in the first call, so you're dependent on your resume, notes written by manager, and how silver tongued you are I guess.
