Interview process started off as expected with screening by recruiter, phone conversation with hiring manager, and then an in-person interview with hiring manager. I then had a video call with a VP, and then it was the final interview with area VP . The process went well and I received great feedback from all parties. After that last interview and sending my follow up messages, I did not hear anything for a couple weeks. It was over the holidays so I didn't think much, but still sent the recruiter an email asking for any feedback or updates in the process. Nothing. A week later, followed up again with recruiter. Nothing. A week later, sent hiring manager a message. Nothing. Reached out to the recruiter and left a voicemail as a last ditch effort. Nothing. Obviously, I'm assuming it went to the other final candidate and I'm honestly not mad, but candidates put a lot of time and effort into preparing for these interviews and ghosting candidates is not the right thing to do. I even drove 4 hours round trip to help out the hiring manager so she didn't have to travel. If we didn't get the position, just respond and say we didn't get it. Have some respect!
