The biggest red flag to me was telling me a very low salary range saying it was because the job was tier 1. When I said no, I applied for a tier 2 position I was told the range was the same for both roles. Major red flag. They also strung me along despite my inputting the salary I wanted during the application. Which was considerably higher than what their budget offered apparently. They had this info already, and yet it was one of the first questions asked by her before giving any details whatsoever on the role. Recruiter gave less than an hour notice that they couldn't make the video appointment. They got the time zones wrong, despite being right next to each other for rescheduling for that afternoon instead. They did not show themselves on camera, despite setting this up as a video call. It all felt very low effort, and negative on their side. Another indicator this probably isn't the happiest place to work. Company is private equity. Look up "private equity controversy" if you don't know what it means. Think it through while you consider applying.
