I applied in-person. I interviewed at Bloomberg in Oct 2014
Interview
I submitted my resume on a campus event and got an interview opportunity very soon. The whole interview took 1 hour. Most questions are technique questions about algorithm. The questions were not difficult. They were basically related to data structure or OOP. I needed to write the working code on paper. This was a bit difficult to me, because I needed to ensure everything was organized before I wrote them down. The interviewers are patient and nice.
It was a first round of a leetcode problem and talking through our past experiences and then after that the next round was 3 different interviews with 3 leetcode problems.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg
Interview
This was my first round, I was scheduled for this hackerrank live coding interview within 2 weeks of applying.
The interviewer was not helpful at all with answering follow-up questions. Said he’s not allowed to do that.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Giving a string return, the longest substring without repeating.
I think this is a leetcode easy question
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (Cambridge, MA) in Sep 2022
Interview
I really enjoyed the interview process. It was in-person so it was less intimidating since I could actually collaborate with the interviewer. The questions were a bit challenging but working with the engineers mad getting hints made it manageable.
