The interviewer was late to my interview, her tone was condescending (she hummed) during the entire time. She didn't give me the opportunity to ask questions, which also reflected poorly on her (that's always a good way to gauge experience and knowledge).
Even though she said that she would reach back to me in one or two days, once she talked to the hiring managers, she completely dismissed my application after five minutes of talking to me (not exaggerating). While I understand that I probably wasn't a good fit for the role, her demeanor as well as her lack of professionalism (she just started working there) was quite disheartening and disappointing, especially coming from an organization like Bloomberg.
As someone who has been in HR for quite a long time, and who runs a HR team, I truly expected more from the interview process and from this "so called" recruiter. I expect a lot from my team, especially from recruiters, since they are the first "point of contact" with those outside of the organization.
I'd highly recommend that Bloomberg reviews the performance of their recruiters, especially those who have just been hired, and the quality of their work. Any potential candidates be warned, because this behavior may be a reflection of how employees are treated as well (telling you from experience).
