I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Blackbullion (London, England) in Dec 2023
Interview
There were two stages: an initial interview with the product manager which was held online. This was followed by a QA task. The initial interview was informal which made for a very pleasant conversation and created a lovely atmosphere.
Unfortunately the process that followed was disappointing - I asked about the deadline for the task and sent it ahead of the deadline. Shortly after I submitted my task, I learned that candidates that had had their initial interviews weeks before me had the advantage of sending their tasks weeks ahead of me - I was told that a candidate from this group of people was selected for the role.
My personal opinion is that it would have been a fairer process to allow candidates to have the same "starting point" when it came to the task.
A really lovely and relaxed interview with a fun and creative project alongside it. There are multiple stages but none of them were too intense. The head of marketing is lovely and respectful and willing to listen- one of my favourite interviews.
