Met with 12 stakeholders to the role who all had different perspectives as to what the new role should focus on to benefit their market/teams. The final hiring decision was made by the hiring managers who head sales for EMEA. It was an internal job transfer opportunity and I was competing against a UK-based internal candidate. It became clear that the real decision was made by the hiring managers, not clear how much of the feedback from the many interviews was factored into the decision.
