I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Birge & Held (Nashville, TN) in Mar 2023
Interview
The first question I was asked is if it was a safe neighborhood because the manager had just moved here which caught me a little off guard. I wasn’t sure if she was asking as a normal human or it was a test so I answered as if it were a test. She asked my experience and I told her how I had roughly two years of experience and a bachelors degree. She proceeded to tell me more about what the job entails and asked me what salary I was looking for. I low balled because I’m trying to start working asap thinking they’d be more willing to give me a shot. She thanked me and remained seated, no handshake or walking me out, nothing. Very awkward. I hadn’t heard back from her for over a week so I tried reaching out and wouldn’t answer any of my messages or return my calls. The property was nice. The leasing specialist that was there was nice. But the communication with people who are interested in working for you needs to be improved.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Birge & Held (Cincinnati, OH) in Dec 2022
Interview
Conducted phone screening, but was not offered a second interview. Overall communication was great and the interview process was handled very well. Would recommend anyone searching to get into the property management industry to apply at Birge and Held
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Birge & Held (Dayton, OH) in Feb 2017
Interview
It was very long but good. I will like to tell many people about the interview and give them many tips and coache them. I was very relaxed and they offered me water to drink.
