I phone interviewed with a departmental manager at Bertelsmann. The experience of talking with that company was odd. The interviewer was nervous and inarticulate. He couldn't explain the interview process nor the expectations and focus for the position. The manager sent me weeks later a message via email stating that the manager was waiting for some approval, which made me think I was getting into the next step. However, weeks later, he sent me an email stating that a person already filled the position.
The overall communication was very poor, and the HR department looked dysfunctional and unprofessional.
