      QA & Release Manager Interview

      Oct 14, 2024
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bending Spoons in Jul 2024

      Interview

I was sent two batches of tasks (eight tasks in total, mainly logic) to complete in my own time, and after that I had three rounds of interviews with different people, during which we talked about the role, my experience, expectations and how we would fit, plus some more logic tasks. The process was time-consuming but exciting and everyone involved was very helpful and kind.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Bending Spoons

      Interview

The recruiting process lasted a few months. The first steps were mainly problem-solving tests (in asynchronous mode and then in the form of a call with an engineer). After passing these, I did some specific tests for the position I was applying for. Then, I got in touch with the HR. During these calls I got asked some questions about my working style, my strengths and weaknesses etc. In the final part of the process, they contacted some references to know more about me. I did all the interviews for the position of QA & Release Manager but, in the end, I was hired as Customer Support Manager.

      Question 1

Can you give an example of a case where you made a contribution to change the status quo and make a significant improvement in your daily work?

      Interview

The selection process at Bending Spoons was an intense yet stimulating challenge that took about two months overall. Although I was slightly nervous going in, everyone—from the recruiters to the interviewers—was reassuring and friendly, and my insecurities were soon gone. All the steps I went through were perfectly documented and explained before advancing to the next, so I knew what to expect at each stage! After passing a screening phase, I underwent some online tests and advanced to the interviews. Three rounds of interviews later, I was asked to share a few people whom I worked or studied with that would be able to give some insights on me. All in all, the process wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be: being driven, honest, and clear-minded were the main aspects that I think helped me.
