I interviewed at Bellevue Childrens Academy (Bellevue, WA)
Interview
First had a screening with HR who quickly got me an interview with the Director, assistant Director, and a specialist teacher. Got a call about a week and half later from the director herself for a teaching position but also another position she thought I would be a good fit in. All very kind people. Asked me about my background, what a day in the classroom would look like, how I used IB in my classroom, and how students are able to also influence my teaching.
Virtual interview with the aftercare coordinator. Was asked about classroom leadership style, interest in working with school-aged children, ability to create and plan multiple activities, behavior management skills, and desired work schedule (i.e. how many days a week).
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bellevue Childrens Academy (Bellevue, WA)
Interview
They interview you in person and ask about your teaching style. They typically ask you to teach a lesson that they will watch, but I got hired in the summer leading up to school beginning so there wasn't an opportunity for them to watch me teach.
I was offered the role on the spot.
