Graduate Research and Consultancy Associate Interview

      Mar 2, 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Beauhurst (London, England)

      Interview

Positive four stage process. First stage was an independent take-home assessment that involved analysing/interpreting an Excel database on investment trends and writing a ~500 word summary to corroborate the data trends to real-world events. Stage 2 was a brief online interview with a member of the Research and Consultancy team. It was casual and only a few questions were asked, mainly testing my current affairs / economic knowledge and knowledge of the company. Stage 3 was an in-person interview split into 3 segments. The first segment was with the same Rescon team member from Stage 2 as well as the department head; it involved a task discussing a snippet of a Beauhurst research report and a few general motivation questions. Segment 2 was with two more junior members of the Rescon team, again was quite laid-back and they continued to test motivations as well as competency questions. The final segment was an interview with two employees from different departments, so more of a "meet the wider team" style interview. This tested competency, motivation, and a deeper understanding of the Rescon department/role I had applied for as you had to be able to explain it to people who did not work within the Rescon team. Stage 4 is a final chat with the CEO. Overall the process was positive and engaging and every interviewer was friendly.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Ensure you thoroughly understand what Beauhurst does, what Rescon does, and the state of the UK's economic / political situation as having this contextual knowledge is extremely important.
