      Application

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Beau Jo's Pizza (Boulder, CO) in Dec 2013

      Interview

Super informal, applied in person while dining there one night and got hired on the spot. Came in for training the next week, and the whole process was very seamless and easy. Since then, it's gotten a little more complicated and trainers have become worse over time

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Beau Jo's Pizza (Fort Collins, CO) in Jan 2017

      Interview

This was probably the strangest interview I've had. I called to see if they were hiring hostesses and they confirmed. After I called, I filled out the application online and then not even 10 minutes later a lady contacted me. She said that she has hosting position open and they also need help on salad bar if I were up to it. I said yes, I'd be glad to help where needed. My interview was set days later. I arrived 10 min early and was sat with a woman and gentleman manager. The first thing they said to me was, "actually, we don't have hosting available but i'm sure you can in the summer". That was annoying, why are you wasting my time and mislead me to believe you had this position open? They asked very typical entry level questions that pertain to such job. The woman did most of the talking and all of the asking so it was sorta awkward to try and address both of them when really she was the only one speaking. She could have been being trained to interview so I did take that into account. Body language was very awkward from both of them. Instead of being interested in my skills and qualifications they were more focused on my appearance. I'll say this, DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS JOB if you have any tattoos, piercings, or appear in any "unique" way. She would literally say, "so uh, what's up with your hair?". I had ombré hair and she told me she had to clear that through with corporate. Or my smiley pericing, she asked if it was removable. I have four discrete tattoos (wrist, behind ear, foot and lower ankle) that she insisted on seeing even when they weren't visible to "clear with coropoate". All of it was very strange especially for a restaurant in downtown Fort Collins where being freedom of expression and having all those things bring personality/are celebrated. I wasn't necessarily offended but more surprised. And of course all the female employees had long blonde hair, skinny and such. Absolutely NOTHING wrong with that but something was fishy. Also saw no minority workers in front of house. Overall the most bizarre interview ever. Would not recommend to anyone to be honest I feel like there is something strange going on there.
