The horrible weird founder stared me down menacingly the whole time during my interview - like his tactic was to be intimidating I think. Everyone else was really nice and I did well on the sample project. I even received a very apologetic rejection email after the interview ended, subtly telling me they wanted to give me the job but it was out of their control. This further cemented my theory that the organization is probably run by a tyrant.
