      Software Engineer Interview

      Jan 16, 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Beamery (London, England) in Jan 2017

      Interview

Environment described as LGBTQA+ -friendly and women-championing must be sarcasm. Pays way below market rate in London (£30-40k – market rate for a graduate role is £45k) and tried to demote me from mid-to-senior to entry-level by negging my skills with a salary below my current salary outside London. £30k (the minimum is £32k) wouldn't even qualify as the salary for sponsoring a Tier 2 employee.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Looking at your experience, would you be happy with an entry-level position and work your way up?
