Buyer Beware. I was interviewed 3 different times over the course of 4 months for this position. I had discussed a start date with the manager and received an email stated that I should expect an offer within the week- this was 3 weeks prior to my discussed start date. Like any reasonable person would do, I put in notice at my job in order to give them proper time to fill my old position. Then, I was contacted by an entirely different department requesting me to interview for this position 6 business days prior to my anticipated start date with several VPs. I completed the interview, and then was told 2 business days later (which was 4 business days prior to my start date) that they were moving in a different direction. Upon talking to the manager I was told that the decision was made from the Senior VPs above him.
In lieu of expressing my disappointment in this process, I owe this company several thank you cards. I had a chance to see this company for its true colors- one in which its upper level management micromanages and distrusts their managers below them so much so that they leave them unable to complete the work that they start and that the company rings true to the old adage- a fish rots from the head.
