Waited a month after interview for an answer. Was hired. Very politically driven. They are biased against people who don’t come from their background or have their best interests.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Baywood Hotels in Aug 2021
Interview
I applied in mid July and received a call about the position in mid August. The interview was quite bizarre and there was a lot of reference to the recruiter's personal experience (which wasn't a job I was applying for). I mentioned that I left a previous role as an AGM because I wanted to go back to a sales position after I was overworked and burnt out. She laughed at me and told me that they have GMs who have been working for 6 weeks straight without a day off - I wasn't applying for a GM role, and also found it pretty tasteless to mention to candidates that their GMs are lacking a healthy work-life balance. She talked over me for a large portion of the interview and bragged about working in the corporate office and helping properties out of state clean rooms. It didn't make sense why she felt the need to tell me that. I rescinded my application and sent an email with feedback about the interview. She called me, left a voicemail, sent an apology email, and wanted to connect on LinkedIn. Not sure what the end game was there, but I definitely dodged a bullet there.
