I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Banner Personnel Service (Naperville, IL) in Nov 2012
Interview
Very professional staffing firm. Prior to the face to face interview I took the "typical" Microsoft Office skills test and a typing test. All employees were business casual and professionally attired. My interviewer asked questions regarding my professional experience and how it would relate to the many administrative positions I could be placed at. We also had an at length discussion regarding temp-to-perm placement and what type of positions I would consider. I was only looking for temporary work, however they did on occasion, offer some very appropriate temp-to-perm positions. We had a discussion about flexibility, as well as, what I considered acceptable pay. We discussed my administrative shortcomings, in addition to skills I considered were exemplary. (i.e. typing speed vs. technical knowledge vs. reception...) We discussed how many hours I am looking to work. Do I want long term or short term assignments. Also I have a piercing in my nose, the interviewer asked if I would remove it and I said no. As far as I could tell it didn't interfere with any of my assignments and I was certainly sent to some very business professional environments.
