I met with the recruiter and the direct report lead for the position. We had a reasonably lengthy conversation. I made sure to be prepared and knowledgable about the company and had relevant questions. They seemed personable and genuinely interested in me, but at the end of the interview, the recruiter called me "seasoned", an obvious ageism comment. I was disgusted that after what seemed to be a productive and very positive interview, I would be telegraphed that she had already made a judgement about my age. I could not shake the feeling that she felt intimidated at my presentation and competence, and she had deterined that I would quickly overshadow her. She seemed to be jealous.
