I applied online. I interviewed at Balanced Body in May 2026
Interview
Very Informative interview. Good energy from management. You can tell they take pride in the work they do. Facility seems to run very efficiently and in a safe manner. I would recommend.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Balanced Body in Oct 2025
Interview
I applied and had a voicemail from the recruiter, who was lovely, to schedule an initial screening call.
She mentioned that the team has been hiring for this role for about a year, which was my first red flag. Then she also explained that the limited offers they sent out, didn’t work out. Second red flag.
The call seemed to be going well, I have all of the experience they’re seeking and more, but to my surprise I received a rejection email a few days later. Without incriminating the recruiter, it felt very much like I would be moving to the next round.
Overall, the recruiter was friendly and a great representative for the company, but don’t let that fool you.
It’s obvious upper management has no idea what they’re looking for. They seem like the type who would slam the carriage in a Pilates class. Or maybe they just banged their head on the Cadillac bars one too many times?
Needless to say, I’ll continue using their equipment, but avoid working for these folks…
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about your social media strategy experience.
3 interviews. The first interview with the recruiter. The recruiter (she) was wonderful. The second was with the Engineering Manager. The Engineering Manager was condescending and tried to belittle and poke holes at my industry experience as an intern and even tried to tell me what I did previously was above my pay grade as an intern and he was surprised I had that kind of responsibility, implying that I was a liar. Then, he decided to ask very specific industry questions to prove that I didn't know them because I seemed "inexperienced" but I still answered from what I did as an intern. But, this is an entry-level job! When I asked him if I will be designing fixtures (which is part of the job description), he said no and that he was again surprised that the HR person told me that even though it is a bullet point in the job posting. He even tried to go on a power trip when I asked who I would be reporting directly to saying he was "the boss around here". Should've believed the reviews that this place is toxic! I wish I had gotten normal interview questions and not just follow-up questions and him proceeding to say that it is not how it is done. Very demoralizing and by the end I just knew this was not going anywhere. Never had this bad of an interview where the interviewer just wanted to demoralize me and attack me from the get-go.
