I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bahama Breeze in Dec 2011
Interview
It was a fairly easy process. Typically there are two separate interviews with two of the "front of the house" managers. I was referred by a long-time employee so I get to skip the second interview after I had passed the first one. There is a behavioral test that they ask you to complete and you are given the results after the test with one of the hiring managers.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Have you worked in a restaurant before? How do you handle difficult guests? Can you thrive in a fast-paced environment? How well can you multi-task?
Easy enough. They ask typical questions about customer service and serving. Just talk about your experience and seem friendly. Also, be sure to have weekend availability as that is a basic requirement for serving jobs. You can change your availability later.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Bahama Breeze (Pembroke Pines, FL) in Mar 2024
Interview
Came in to meet the bar manager. Chatted and had a "get to know you" interview. Quick turnaround, she asked me to come back to meet the server and food service managers when they were scheduled to come in. They got to know me, asked my availability. You won't get hired if you can't work the weekends. They want someone who matches the vibe of the rest of the team members. They also won't hire you as a server without experience.

Question 1
What's your experience? What's your availability/when can you start? How would you deal with a rude customer?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bahama Breeze (Orlando, FL) in Jul 2023
Interview
Had three interviews but it is typically only two. You meet with whomever is overseeing server staff at the time and the second is with the GM. The questions asked are pretty standard. What is your experience, why should be hire you, why Bahama Breeze, and what do your steps of service look like?
