Backbase Senior Software Engineer/Team Lead interview questions

The interview began with a discussion with the recruiter. They had technical assignment. The assignment was meant to be completed in a week. The assignment was relatively simple but they wanted it built without using any latest technology (strange for a startup). After submission of the assignment, it was pending review for over a week. On asking the recruiter about the status of the review, they sent an email with review comments that doesn’t match with the assignment that was submitted: displaying total incompetency in the review process. No response from the recruiter on highlighting the discrepancies in the review comments. Disappointed in having wasted time on a company with poor ethics.
