Got a call from one of top consultancy on 6th June. She described the job requirements very well. After some time, again received a call from Adr....na(consultant) saying that the HR wanted to have a telephonic discussion with me on very next day. Next day i waiting for the call from HR team, however no response. After checking with consultant, she told me that there has been some technical glitch, hence the interview has been scheduled for the next day. On the third day i got a call from the HR team (S.j.), he was very polite and only asked questions related to my past experience, expectations and location preference. Post this interview, after 10 -12 days i again got a call from the consultancy updating me on the next round with the Onshore team. I cleared the onshore round and has been told by consultant that you have cleared the major discussions for this opportunity and will have some more round going forward. Post this round, after around 1 week, the consultant called me to inform about the next onshore round. Post that i have been told by the HR and consultant that i have cleared the 3rd round as well. My next round was with the India Head of the specific project. For this round, i have been continuously following the consultant and HR team and finally after 15 days the 4th round has been scheduled. I cleared the 4th round as well and have been asked to give the 3 skill test. I have successfully submitted all the 3 test and was waiting for the results. After two weeks of submitting the skill test, i got a 1 liner mail from the HR saying that my skills are not matching with the requirements. I have a question with the HR team of BNY Mellon, Pune, does it took you 2 months to identify the skills of the person you are interviewing with. I cleared 5 round of discussion and post investing a huge time, does HR gives only 1 line (despite again and again connecting with HR and consultant team ) saying my skills are not matching with your requirements.
This describes only two reasons of disqualifying me, either the team was not clear with the requirements or the HR or the operation team is not having enough capabilities to judge the right candidate for right openings.
I special request to the HR team, All Recruiters should ensure their bandwidth before lining up the Candidates. And it should be in more transparent way where the Candidates who will not achieve the target, can be informed in the same day in 1st/ 2nd round.
